Refuge Marriage Refresher
Marriage Refresher is a monthly gathering designed to help couples pause, reconnect, and strengthen their marriage according to God’s design. Through Scripture, encouragement, and practical tools, we create space to invest in what matters most—protecting the covenant God has joined together and growing in love that binds us in unity (Matthew 19:6; Colossians 3:14).
What to Expect
6:00 PM — Arrival & welcome
6:00–6:15 PM — Worship led by a special musical guest
6:15–6:35 PM — Short, practical marriage message
6:35–6:45 PM — Resource highlight and guidance for intentional date conversation
6:45–8:00 PM — Choose your next step:
Stay at The Refuge for relaxed conversation and fellowship with other couples and the Bachleitners, or
Head out for a date and use the provided material to deepen connection and continue the conversation together
Our Vision for a marriage refresher?
A Marriage Refresher is a simple, intentional space for couples to pause, reconnect, and invest in their relationship. Rather than focusing on fixing problems, it’s about strengthening what God has already given through encouragement, Scripture, practical tools, and shared time together. Whether your marriage is thriving or feels stretched, a Marriage Refresher offers a healthy rhythm to realign, renew, and move forward with hope.
Our Story
Kristin and I have been married for 23 years—we met in study hall. Today we’re the grateful parents of ten children and one grandchild. Like most couples, we’ve experienced both the highs and lows of marriage and have walked through nearly everything life can throw at a relationship. Over time, God has led us into a sweet season marked by deeper communication, renewed intimacy, and growing unity as we look toward the future. Our greatest desire is to help our brothers and sisters in Christ discover all that God has in store for marriage. We never imagined we’d reach a place where we’re genuinely excited for what Jesus is still unfolding in our future together.
